View Full Version : Another CTS or? lordbaby 05-23-08, 08:41 AM it is memorial day on Monday! my sister just graduated and is in the market for a new car. My dad just got a brand new Jaguar XJL.. around$120k? so i suggest my sister to get the XF, somewhere half the price. prehaps may be a 09CTS. yet A CTS might be too bulk for her since she is smaller. Any suggestion? I can't think of one. How about MB... but which model?
so if not XF, let's say CTS or MB and which model? lordbaby 05-23-08, 09:05 AM skyline is my future car !!!!! i will drive that whenever i go to china/jep town!
gtr too fast for her.. i bet she aint a racer. im guessing a mb if not cts.. not sure which mb model tho.. may be some 2 doors? definitely not some rubbish c class tho.. but guess what she likes escalade..but it is impossible for her to drive.. it is too big.. 6:06am already i gonna go to bed now ttyl urbanski 05-23-08, 09:05 AM oh yeah gtr baby *swoon* da_thrilla 05-23-08, 09:25 AM This thread makes no sense... caddycruiser 05-23-08, 05:02 PM This thread makes no sense...
Agreed, I guess just for suggestions on a high dollar ride for his sister...that isn't too large. If that's right, I'll say CTS, Mercedes C-class, BMW 3-series, etc. Lots of choices. A Jag XF is a touch bigger and generally more expensive than any of these, at $50k+. KenD245 05-23-08, 05:58 PM Big problem.
I feel sorry for the poor little rich girl.
If Daddy did not buy the car and she had to work for it, what would she buy? greyghost04 05-23-08, 06:22 PM If you want her to feel really good, take the money for the car to a local free food kitchen. She can then watch as the people who have no food and are very hungry, eat the food she bought for them. That's got to feel better than the MB. Southern 05-23-08, 06:53 PM Try Infinity G35. Mercedes C300 or 350. All decent cars lacking in style and/or size. BamaCaddy08 05-23-08, 07:09 PM 120k for an XJ? Thats a huge rip especially for the XJL. The XJL isnt the highest one. That being said im assuming you mean the Super V8? Still even a Super V8 right now comes in at just around 100k.
You are talking totally different cars here bud, I considered waiting and getting an XF because I think its an great car but its way more car than I need.
You dont need suggestions, Im sure she is more than capable of picking out her car.
And by the way (not trying to be rude) but is English your first language? urbanski 05-23-08, 07:13 PM Big problem.

Just read in crrent issue of AUTOWEEK that only 1500 GT-R's are coming to the US market, 60% are pre-sold, and a 21% dealer mark up over the 69 large base price !. Keep dreaming my friend ! lordbaby 05-24-08, 03:07 AM 120k for an XJ? Thats a huge rip especially for the XJL. The XJL isnt the highest one. 3rd) she asked me for suggestion.. guess i kidda need to.. she doesnt know much about cars.. she doesnt know a V6 means, what r the diff between invoice price and msrp..etc
4th)English is my 4th lang.. your typical American in California.

don't hate, otherwise people who hv mb can say exactly the same thing you said in a Porsche or Ferrari forum. Then kids who hv ferrari will say that in a lambo or etc forum.. and so on.. it's meaningless. The fact that you can drive a better car doesnt mean you disrespect the poor. May be you should give everything you have to those in the 3rd world countries that dont even have free food? very simple idea. America will be a 3rd world country today if everyone is not entitle for goods. They charge tax on the car and those tax is going to fund the food stamps. Trust me i worked in a free food kitchen every Tuesday when i was in college. Most people who come here to get the food might be poor, but it's not like what you see in the 3rd world. And trust me those food they are getting for free are better than what i normally eat.
btw, she worked hard for it. she worked at her dad's office for 4 years without a pay check or even mini wages. Even if she got the lowest wages, say 20k per year. she should still entitle for some 80k awards.
thing is, dont make judgment to others if you dont know their stories.
Also, my sister worked hard to graduate and pass the bar. You dont get something good for free. You doNt necessary get what you worked hard for, but if you dont work hard for that, you sure dont get it, unless you are the lucky one who won the lottery or won the free car by filling that stupid info card at the mall. :yup: Hamadeh 05-24-08, 11:27 AM Mercedes suck, get a Jaguar I think she'll like it. Thats what I thought, I wasnt trying to be rude just curious, I only speak 2 lol, English and Gaelic. Im curious to know what state has such a high tax rate that would turn a 100k car into a 120k+ vehicle. The XJ is sold as a standard XJ, XJL, Vanden Plas and the Super V8. I kind of have a thing for Jags, one of my hobbies is restoring old Jaguars. If she wants a wonderful XJS ill be completing a full restoration here in the next month or so lol. Your sister sound about like mine, that said looks is probably her biggest thing when buying a car. My sister just recently got a Range Rover Sport perhaps she would like that. They are great vehicles. Good luck.
