Seems a person on this board with userid GTPprix has had his fixed but can't share the info becuase he has some kind of agreement with GM. Hopefully a TSB will be released soon becuase mine is driving me crazy as well.

The clock in CTS is also ticking but the ticking noise from DI engine...is..
Most of days I just ignore but sometimes it bothers me somewhat.

That's DI for you. I hear it even in my tomb-quiet Lexus LS460. These things use high-pressure injectors and they simply make some noise.

Just think of it like supercharger whine ... its a small price to pay for the performance, and it just reminds you of the tech baked into your CTS.

:yeah:

The Cadillac DI system is significantly quieter than many of the Imports. 1,750psi of fuel pressure will do that.

Here's the link to the original thread. This issue at hand has nothing to do with the noise the DI engine makes or the analog clock on the center stack.

This ticking can be heard starting at 900 rpm going to to 3000 rpm.

The noise you hear IS the DI's cam driven fuel pump, I'm STILL waiting for GM to release the bulliten but the only good news I Can report is my car being the beta tester for the fix is still working great.
