How can I find out the build date of my CTS?

How do I find out if I have bluetooth or not? it have phone/mute on the steering wheel.

If I do have bluetooth, how can i connect it to my cell phone?

Any leather cleaner/conditioner i can buy to keep the new car leather smell?

thanks for the help in advance.

To find out which OnStar you have, hold down the phone button on the rearview mirror for about 4 or 5 seconds. It will tell you if you have OnStar version 7 or version 8. Only version 8 has bluetooth. After it tells you, push it again to exit. DO NOT do anything else or it will change the settings.

Alternatively, when you hold down the talk/phone button (far right) it will either say "OnStar ready" (You do not have bluetooth) or just "Ready", you probably have it. If you have it, set up and instructions should be in your manual.

Even if you don't have it, their may be instructions for bluetooth in the manual if your car has the buttons. However, only the V8 OnStar hardware has bluetooth.

For more info, click on the bluetooth tag to search the forum. There are LOTS of posts about this.

To maintain the leather seating surfaces of your vehicle, I would recommend Meguiar's Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. As advertised on the product, it cleans and conditions the leather in one, easy step. Being the vehicle is brand-new, it is not necessary to use multiple or aggressive products.

From Meguiar's website:

"This luxurious, pH balanced one-step treatment safely cleans and protects fine leather without using harmful or harsh solvents. Mild cleaners provide a safe cleaning action without stripping nutrients or protection. Special oils moisturize and condition leather so it remains rich and supple without adding artificial slickness."

For the synthetic material used on the dash, door panels and etc., I would recommend Meguiar's #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner. I have used consumer and professional-line detailing products from many manufactures and this is by far, my favorite dressing. It also works great on weather stripping and other exterior trim pieces. Plus, it's readily available at your local auto parts store.

I use the GM leather cleaning solutions. Leaves the seats looking and smelling good as they did driving off of the dealer lot.

:hmm:I know zilch about bluetooth or any other teeth other than pearly white ones, but leather
cleaning is right up my alley!

If you get a stubborn stain on your leather use rubbing alcohol on it and
the stain will go away to never-never land. The stuff is cheap and readily
available in drugstores, and you don't want to soak the leather.
A caveat though. The stuff leaches the oil out of leather so wipe some
recommended leather conditioner on the place where you used the
rubbing alcohol. You don't want to use too much conditioner though. A
little wipe goes a long way.

It's quick and cheap and requires very little, umm, rubbing.
