Last night my husband and I went to an event and used valet parking. The valet guys were a little confused with the keyless start, which surprised me because I KNOW there are other cars out with that now. Anyway, no real problems until we got all the way home with the car...WITHOUT my husband's key fob.

Normally, I know this wouldn't be an issue; no fob in the car, no forward motion. The problem was that mine was still in my purse! So, even though the car was started with his, it apparently kept running with mine. We had to go all the way back.

Lesson learned...make sure you get your key before you leave.:bang2:

What are you trying to open it for? I'm seriously thinking about ordering one on ebay to tinker around with. I want to basically put a receiver in my wallet so that I don't have to carry an entire fob with me.

Actually, you could have driven all the way home even if you didn't have your fob in the purse. Once the Valet started it with the fob in his pocket, the car will run with or without a fob. You wouldn't have realized it until you shut the car off and the DIC said "No Fob detected: Restart Allowed".

In this situation you have 5 minutes to restart the car without a fob in it, drive back to where you were and retreive your fob.
