Is it my imagination or are the Pontiac G8 GXP wheels exactly the same as the V2's.

The wheels are the first thing I would replace on the new V. And thankfully we'll have plenty of options this time around.

I actually like how the design of the new V's wheels look like an arrangement of 'V's.

I would like to see Cadillac offer a nice 3 piece wheel with a lip though (maybe a BBS basketweave style center that could be had in satin chrome or bodycolor for colors like raven black and thunder grey).

Okay- I've looked at the picture of that G8 wheel for 5 minutes now, and I can't see a damn valve stem anywhere. :wtf:

It's funny you mention that, because I sometimes see hollowed out triangular V's, while other times I see wide, rectangular spokes that have been hollowed out. It all depends on how your brain defines where the split between the spokes is.

Maybe a picture will help explain it. Forgive the crudeness of the edit, but I think you get the point:

Not only that, the way the spokes flare outward on the V2 wheels gives the opportunity for some severe road rash with high curbs. I'll keep my V1 wheels, thanks.

Tony, look at the open area of the wheel that is about in the 1 oclock positon of the wheel/tire. Look at the space between the edge of the rotor and the edge of the wheel. I believe that shiny round thing is the valve stem. It must come out from inside the wheel.

Not if we can get them in gunmetal gray. Cadillac, please offer a bling-free option for the wheels.

Here's some "well used" GenII or V2 wheels . . . and some calipers that have seen some heavy braking. And some different styles of rotors.

Olddog, good to see you back. Thanks for the pics as some us didn't have time to take any at V-palooza.

That is one serious caliper. Looks like ZR-1 ,GT-R have the same or very similar... Sorry didn't mean to say GT-R:) Caddy gave us serious top shelf brakes. This car is going to kick ass.......
