My new 26" Toshiba 26AV500U 780p HDTV. Got a great deal through Best Buy, 12 months 0% financing for 12 months. I can't wait to see PS3 on this thing! :D

I like the 5.1 sound better than the HD picture. Most HD programming is reformatted standard programming anyway unless it's a live sporting event.

I don't have HD programming. I bought it mainly for gaming, I'm investing in an HDMI cable for my PS3.

Every time you buy with a credit card you're financing your purchase. People by soft drinks, one at a time, on credit.

I opened up a Best Buy card and charged it on there.....

Maybe I'm... umm... crotchety or something, but unless it's a thing like a house or car I won't buy it unless I can throw the money down all at once.

Always pay cash for stuff like this. Congrats though.

Wal Mart sells a Phillips HDMI cable and it looks awesome on my ps3.

I agree, cash is king!

But it's to late now, so just enjoy your new T.V.

All HDMI cables are the same. A $5 ebay cable will produce the same quality as a $100 Monster cable (screw Monster, but that's another thread)

True to a certain length. Go past 40 feet or so (say, if you're feeding an overhead projector) and cable quality matters a great deal.

For runs under 10' most cables are just fine.

Go to buy.com and order it from there. I bought mine for $0 since I opened up an account for google check out. They give you $10 off and the cable itself was $10.

Lucky for me my PS3 is 16" from the HDMI port on the TV. Hahaha. Thanks for the input. I'll definately pick up a cheap one.
