ok i recently bought an 87 brougham fleetwood d'elegance. its in pretty damn good shape. less than 100k mi. all service records. never in anythign other than a minor fender bender (obviously not damaging to the caddy-being as it still has origiinal paint, and no bodywork) but there are these plastic fender "caps"/ends on the rear fenders, just before the taillights, and they are fubar. i need both new ones. does anyone know the campatability with other caddys as well as where you can get these things. i've checked out some online junkyards, but havent done the footwork yet.

btw i'm new to the luxury/caddillac community. my other car is a lil rwd nissan sportscar. so some of these things are new to me. thanx for the help in advance.

There was another post about this not too long ago. Look in the first couple pages of this section and you should see the post.

WIZARD- THANX MAN, THATS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED, DO YOU KNOW ABOUT FITMENT. B/C I ASSUME THOSE PARTS TO BE AFTERMARKET. BUT I WAS DEFINALTY OPPOSED TO FINDING SOME USED JUNKYARD PART THAT WOULD PROLLY END UP BEING THE SAME CONDITION.

I GOT ANOTHER INQUIRY NOW... WHAT DOES EVERYONE DO WITH THE "ABS" PLASTIC SIDE MOULDING RUNNING DOWN THW SIDE OF THE CAR.
MINES IN GREAT SHAPE, BUT DISCOLORED. IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP. DO THEY MAKE "CHROME" SIDE MOULDINGS?... OR CAN I GET THAT THING PLATED @ A MACHINE SHOP, OR CUSTOM SHOP. OR DO PEOPLE NORMALLY JUST REMOVE IT ALL TOGETHER.
i DO LIKE ALL THE CHROME TRIM, AND I'M TRYING TO GET THE CAR READY FOR A PAINT JOB SOON. THANX FOR THE HELP.

You mean the stuff that runs down the middle of the car? A friend of mine has a 1988 DeVille that has that and the colour was fading off it. When he got the car painted he god them to paint it too. I think that was around 4 years ago now and it hasen't happened again.
