Would you put door molding on your CTS to protect it from door dings. I understand repainting a door can be very expensive and the color matched door moling can prevent this from happening.
From those who purchased it when did you purchase it from and how much did it cost?

Door molding may help prevent a door ding. Then again, it might not. It really depends on the shape of the other car's door in relation to yours. It also depends on how sharply they actually strike your car. I have seen "door dings" that actually dented the door right through door molding.
I prefer to park my cars in the far reaches of parking lots, away from other cars. I have owned cars for 8 years without a single door ding by exercising caution on where I park (and getting some physical exercise in the process).
If you want them, you can get them directly from Bright Trim (http://www.brighttrim.com/shopping.asp?id=82519&itemid=13719&ct=1&shopperid=148261&merchantid=82519&shop=itemdetail.asp) for $129.00.

I just keep the Bright Trim in my CTS folder.
I won't walk a mile for cmel, but I will walk 1/4 mile for my CTS.
But if I ever get a ding, I will call the Dent Dr.
They day he tells me that he can;t fix one (broken Paint) I will order the molding and cover rhe ding.
And I will continue to park in the south forty.
