Where did you get the rims chrome plated? Looking good.

OEM rims out of California its an exchange program their on e-bay. They send you a chrome set and you sent them yours back in the same prepaid box. All for around $800.00

Looks fantastic though. Be careful though - I looked into getting a set of rims chromed awhile back from the same place and several people told me that it's very difficult to get chrome plating to stick to aluminum wheels... no matter how much prep work is done, eventually the chrome plating starts to flake off

They have a 5yr warranty

It is my understanding for MSRP of $750 (invoice price is $622) you can get chrome wheels when you order the car. What is the advantage of having it done later?

I don't believe that's true.

If I knew what I know and learn from this forum, I might had many other options.

I never ordered my car my dealer just searched for a loaded one for me, it turned out taking 3 months because no dealers were trading. So I couldn't get chrome wheels in the end I should have just ordered one. I'm not even sure you could order them in chrome i've never seen a CTS from the factory with chrome wheels.

They look great!

I've been a Corvette forum fanatic for about seven years now. Over that time I've read of probably thousands of Corvette owners getting chromed factory wheels from places like that. Very rarely do I hear of problems with the Chrome. What I always hear is that there are some shops in California that know what they are doing. A friend of mine who builds very high end hot-rods has even told me that.

The option for $750 is NOT chrome wheels. They are polished wheels, looks good but not chrome.
