I'll be getting some new wheels shortly and just wanted to know if anyone had the torque setting for the wheel lug nuts for the 08 CTS? I don't have a shop manual and have no idea.
Cheers

Cheers C&C 05-18-08, 07:03 AM I doubt that the CTS would vary much from most of the other GM cars, (i.e., other Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Buicks, etc.), so you looking at 100 lb/ft. Remember to torque with alternating lug nuts, meaning for a five lug set to torque 1,3,5,2,4. jjsC6 05-18-08, 08:46 AM I agree with C&C. Most cars are either 90 or 100. MoFex 05-18-08, 11:06 AM 100 seems high. I thought it would be closer to 70 - 80. Does anyone know for sure? dynalub 05-18-08, 12:30 PM Hi, Dosen"t your owners manual have the torque?:hmm: 928S 05-18-08, 02:22 PM Hi, Dosen"t your owners manual have the torque?:hmm: Yes, on page 5-128 of the 2008 CTS Owner Manual "Wheel Nut Torque ... 100 lb ft" caddycruiser 05-18-08, 03:07 PM Yes, on page 5-128 of the 2008 CTS Owner Manual "Wheel Nut Torque ... 100 lb ft" Correct-o, and yes, this is the "typical" for GM and others, with a lot of cars. jjsC6 05-18-08, 03:41 PM Yes, on page 5-128 of the 2008 CTS Owner Manual "Wheel Nut Torque ... 100 lb ft" Shoot, anybody could have looked it up in the manual.
