Well this is my first post on theses forums. My Name is Adam Morales, and I have had two escalade so far. First I had a 99 White Caddy escalade which had 3 TV and 22's here is my sounddomain web site. Then about two weeks ago I trades that one in for a brand new 2004 2wd Red Caddy Escalade. Don't worry I took off all of the tv's and wheels an aftermarket gear off of the old one.. http://www.sounddomain.com/memberpage/240139

Now today I was trying to install my new subs and Amp. Which is 3 JL Audio 12w6v2 and a JL Audio 1000/1 amp I got everything hook-up.( ground, power, remote) But damn I have been searching on line for a wiring diagram to find the right wires to hook into for the line converter. Well after much hunting a looking. I finaly found that 2003-2004 Escalades with the damns bose systems need a new interface from Peripheral electronics.(Product number GMAA) Which gives up a remote turn on lead and the right sounding RCA outputs for adding a sub...

Damn I don't understand why GM has to make things sooo difficult. But I guess if it was easy it wouldn't be cool...

How can I make a write-up for installin aftermaket stereo equipment in this fourm?

Thanks guys
If any one has installed a sub/amp in an 04 with out a module please let me know. I also heard of the idea of taping into the wire going directly going to the sub from the Bose amp. but that involved removing the WHOLE console....

Adam,
I'm not trying to sound rude but if you don't have a working knowledge of automotive sound systems you shouldn't attempt to install the sub setup of which you spoke. That question is indicative that you should leave it to a professional. I have seen poor wiring start fires in the cabin and the last thing you want is to burn down your Lade. Not to mention, the noise problems you might encounter are a pain in the a** if you don't know what your doing.:)

My son put in a sub in our ext using the rear radio controls output jack. It was quick and dirty and now it really thumps. If your interested I'll have him tell you how he did it!

Skides1: I have installed quite a few systems in different cars for friends and families. I built speaker boxes, amp racks, etc On my old escalade I installed the whole TV set-up and the audio set-up unfortanly the pictures on Sounddomain is sort of out dated.

After doing more research I finaly found the right color wires after doing more testing on the wiring harness for the bose amp.

On the new escalades you must tap in to the wiring going to the sub from the bose amp which is located right under the cup holders. Thats where the good clean power for the aftermarket amp is. If any one need any instructions on installing an amp/sub in a 03-04 escalade let me know I can snap some pics and show you where to find it.
