Wanted d3's Corsa product, a little too expensive for my blood, Magnaflow can be found for $750.

I get my Magnaflow on monday, and my car on tuesday. I will post sound clips then.

Last I heard from Corsa (two weeks ago) the REAL corsa (IE made in house) is on perm hold at this point. They just couldnt get the sound they wanted out of it :(

Man i can't wait for Corsa to come out with their exhaust system for this vehicle... As anxcious as i am to order the new exhaust, i would rather it take long and sound perfect, than to get it quickly and sound like crap. The STS corsa exhaust sounds great (at low and high RPM). Corsa has a great reputation, so lets just wait and see what happens (hopefully they wont make us wait too long)

I love the Corsa sound on V8's. But I had a corsa cat-back on a 3.8l V8 (grand prix gtp) and it just didn't sound good at all. It was super quiet below 2k on the hwy with no drone at all... but anything past that, and it sounded like a really small 4 banger. Which is quite annoying. I would have gone back with the drone happy custom Magnaflow cat-back exhaust if I hasn't sold it.

I know these are somewhat different engines, but various other V6's that I've heard with Corsa seem to end up with the same result. I'm guessing it's the same issue Corsa is running into with the CTS. Trying to make it sound good but keep the drone under control.

Would love to hear what the Magnaflow exaust sounds like as I'm considering this exaust when I get my car/ Will the Magnaflow exaust viod any warranty? How about a cold air intake?

No exhaust voids your warranty, as long as you don't mess around forward of the cats. I will try to post a sound clip as soon as my damned car gets here. Should be tomorrow, and I am driving directly from the dealer to my buddy's shop to install the exhaust.

I do not mean to pick apart the way your exhaust is set up Dubbed, but it looks like there are more bends in the aftermarket Magnaflow exhaust compared to the stock catback. I am guessing that the aftermarket uses larger piping tho. Anyway, thanks for being one of the first to try it out and post. I am looking forward to hearing it and getting your opinion on how you like it. Best of luck with your beautiful Caddy!

Does this add any horsepower or is it just for sound. It looks great

I think I am going to go with Magnaflow...looks like it runs about $1k for the complete setup. According to Dubbed Stealth, he loves the way it sounds. It would be nice to know if there are any performance gains...nothing on Magnaflows site on the gains yet.

I know I am late to the party... but Magnaflow sounds nice at first. Then as it wears the sound absorbing material inside the muffler breaks down.

This means your sound will deteriorate over time.

Just my opinion based on 3 years with a Magnaflow on my Suburban. Looking for a Corsa now.

Cruising here looking for opinion on how long Corsa's last.

Magnaflow and Corsa are both free flowing systems (ie. no restriction) and stainless steel; except Corsa uses noise cancellation technology to reduce unwanted exhaust resonance instead of sound deadening materials. So it should last quite awhile and I'd suspect performance results would be comparable.

I've had Corsa and Magnaflow for many years (V6 and V8's). No issues with either one wearing out and both have a nice unique sound. I just go all Corsa now for the simple fact that I like the way it sounds and no drone (I hate drone). Only negative... Corsa is fairly expensive.

thanks Omega.

Been looking on various forums for some opinions on Corsa to see if they hold up over the years. So far I have not seen any complaints.

Do you guys have a classified area? If yes, I could not find it. I have a set of Escalade 18s with the plain finish (not chrome) - I would like to sell / trade / give away the Cadillac center caps and get a plain set of center caps.

Caddy caps on a Chevy look pretty silly :)

I have never heard of any issues with either company as far as longevity. I have installed many Corsa and Magnaflow systems on vettes and I always have fitment issues with the corsa's vs the magnaflows. It's a real pain in the ass getting the tips lined up or even run parallel on the vettes. I never had an issue w/the magnaflow system but the system bolts together different. With that said, I ordered a magnaflow system last week. I always liked the sounds of the magnaflows vs corsa too.
