Anybody care to comment on what Cadillac was used for the limo conversion? Looks like an SRX to me.

I've seen that vid on television before. And I call :bs: there's no way that thing hit 150 mph. :tisk:

I agree with Rolex, since aren't these limited at 128 or something similar?

It figures that the transmission in a Caddy would go right when you need it the most. :)

The road-warrior's hindsight finally failed him...

I realize they were really trying to sound witty and clever... but what exactly does that even mean??

Anyway... why couldn't this reach 150mph? Isn't the V8 STS electronically limited to 155mph? It would really just come down to a matter of physics... more specifically to this matter, it would come down to the drag coefficient of this limo..

A regular STS sedan has a drag coefficient of 0.32... using that number in a somewhat controlled model (without extreme variables such as a strong headwind), it only takes about 148HP to reach 150mph. So assuming the CoD on this limo isn't too outrageously higher, it could easily reach that speed with 320HP on tap... The only way is couldn't would be if mechanical and rolling resistance sapped more than 170HP from the engine to where the wheels touch the road.

dbl post
and no the STS 1SF and 1SG came with W rated tires aka 150 limiter
the 1SE has S standard and limited to 112
idk about the 6 cyl cars...

It's a joke, pretty simple, he was driving backwards and he crashed, hence, hindsight.
