Hey all,

I was perusing the recalls and service bulletins for my car and came across this recent bulletin... is it just referencing the TimeSert kits?

1996-1999 Cadillac Deville

1994-1999 Cadillac Concours
1995-1999 Oldsmobile Aurora
1999 Marine

with 4.0L or 4.6L Engine (VINs C, Y, 9 - RPOs L47 LD8 L37)

Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to remove models. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 99-06-01-015 (Section 06 - Engine).

A thread repair kit (Kent-Moore J 42385-500) is available to repair damaged engine block bolt holes for the cylinder head bolts and the crankshaft main bearing bolts. Installation instructions are included with each kit.

Earlier this month there was a post concerning Timesert's kit backorder status.

Your discovery may have been caused by dealer feedback last fall.....

It now appears there's another player in the thread insert game...according to Google, Kent-Moore is a specialized machinery company in Warren, MI, which supplies the automotive repair trade.

The kit(s) as stated are for head bolts and main bearing plate half bolts.
