I am getting all the signs of a bad ignition switch. I don't have time to change it, but I called Cadillac and they quoted 4 hours/ $440.

How hard is this to do? I have read other posts saying it was a couple of hours at most.

i have the same issue let me guess turn the key nothing but sometimes i will start and run fine but after turning off it may not start again. well i got connected to a guy who happens to be a caddillac mechanic and he said the same the switch but the bad thing is u gotta remove the dash due to the key in the dash he quoted me 250 with the part go to www.gmpartsdepartment.com and search the part but this is not a easy thing itself but the part the is only 110 i believe but i hear the labor is a bitch. let me know how this helps.
