Gailee 05-12-08, 07:07 PM Thanks for the info on the codes.Thats a big help. Ranger 05-12-08, 10:19 PM Does this sound familiar? http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/northstar-performance-technical-discussion/25119-stutter-engine-trans.html oilers1967 05-20-08, 03:34 AM no codes.... filled it with fresh premium fuel.. added lil bit of octane boster as well. Changed the plugs and it does run a bit better but still has studder / misfire from idle - as long as I ease on throtle. If I take off quick it is smooth. slight rough idle Ranger 05-20-08, 12:16 PM Have you replaced the wires? oilers1967 05-20-08, 12:58 PM nope... but wouldn't I get some codes if it was missing from an elect problem? I have it going in for new front brakes and new fuel filter on thursday. See what it does after new filter. Ranger 05-20-08, 09:16 PM You might get a P0300 DTC (misfire detected) if it is bad enough. Fuel filter is not your problem. I'd bet on it. Did you read the link I provided? I'd almost put money on the wires. oilers1967 05-21-08, 12:41 PM dropped the car at the garage this morning and told the mechanic to fix the stupid thing. iametarq 05-21-08, 02:18 PM I did not get any codes for my awful hesitation and shuddering, but when I did plugs and wires at the same time the problem disappeared. good luck! Mr. O 05-21-08, 03:54 PM dropped the car at the garage this morning and told the mechanic to fix the stupid thing. Plugs and wires worked for me. | |
