My 1994 Cadillac Seville had developed a misfire / hesitation when accelerating.

no codes.... filled it with fresh premium fuel.. added lil bit of octane boster as well. Changed the plugs and it does run a bit better but still has studder / misfire from idle - as long as I ease on throtle. If I take off quick it is smooth. slight rough idle

Have you replaced the wires?

nope...
but wouldn't I get some codes if it was missing from an elect problem? I have it going in for new front brakes and new fuel filter on thursday. See what it does after new filter.

You might get a P0300 DTC (misfire detected) if it is bad enough. Fuel filter is not your problem. I'd bet on it. Did you read the link I provided? I'd almost put money on the wires.

dropped the car at the garage this morning and told the mechanic to fix the stupid thing.

I did not get any codes for my awful hesitation and shuddering, but when I did plugs and wires at the same time the problem disappeared. good luck!

Plugs and wires worked for me.
