can someone tell me where the lower ( A ) crankshaft position sensor is located . I took off the splash guard and i think i see it above the oil filter on the radiator side of the engine. If this is it , it looks like you have to be double jointed to get to it.Do i need a tool to get the wire connection off and is the hold down stud 10mm . any and all help will be appreciated . thanks:hmm:

Late Northstar (post-00). Manual says to remove filter and filter adapter. You'll need new adapter O-rings and (if equipped) oil cooler line quick-connect fittings (manual says replace if opened). 10mm. Magic words. Hot oil.

Replace both of them while you are there.

you can just take the front engine mount off youll have enough room to get at it then. 6 15mm nuts will get the job done.

I've done this 4 or 5 times... remove the oil filter and adapter and thats all you need, its tight, and the connectors are a bear, but there is no need to remove the front mount.
