Hey maybe I'm dumb and haven't found the thread, but what's the latest word on the prototype MM's from UUC? Luke, can you or anybody else shed some light on this please?

Shane,

The motor mounts that UUC sent were put on Chris's car and they were too long. UUC PROMISED that the turnaround on the new set will not take as long as the first one. Everyone's fingers are crossed!

Yep, the prototypes were too tall.
No ETA on round 2, but when they are out and fit properly we'll be letting everyone know.

ewill, do you know how much the stock mounts move when loaded? Or how much of a difference the second version will be shorter?

Thanks,
Norm

The factory ones are hydraulic and the upper half ends up floating a bit. Not sure how much.
The UUC versions are molded, they probably won't give much at all... if any.
The measurements I gave UUC for the new ones were measured on a car with the weight of the engine on the factory mounts. They compress considerably when the engine sits on them.

If I waited this long and the prototypes don't dampen vibes/noise I'm going to scream.....then go to solid mounts ha

Thanks Bill.

LOL, dude you should see my engine shake with my new cam in there. I had to keep the idle up at 850, becuase it was shaking too much at 800.

CAN'T WAIT FOR UUC MOUNTS!

I'll try to take a pic of the location where the maggie is hitting the hood as it has eaton away the insulation and now it is starting to grind against the actual hood itself or I'll just show you at the summit meet this friday. I am cautious as to how hard I will run at summit.

OUCH!

I have an oil cap breather that I had to install due to my NW TB nothaving a PCV connection. It's fairly tall, and is starting to do the dame thing.

I'll give a shout out on the first successful install, Luke will be ready to start shipping them out as soon as we get a viable set.
Not sure how fast the UUC production will be.
I am hoping the next set will work.

Energy Suspension needs to make a set already they'd probably sell a s-load of them. Not to de-rail the thread but how many CTS-V's were produced from 04-07? Energy is here in SoCal and I used to buy quite a bit from them at one time. Maybe I could suggest a poly motor mount for the V to there R&D guys?

Even if they become supporting vendors and bring a good product,we'll still buy from Luke.UUC makes excellent stuff, and Lindsey rocks.
