That was at 25mph, hit a treestump and flipped it.

He sorta walked, had cuts on his face and some stuff. Massive brake failure.

Sorta scary considering i was about to buy that car a week before the fact.

Looks like he's tracked this car too! Sad to see another E36 die...but glad your friend is ok!

Agreed. I guess the dealer and him came up to a resolution as the car ended up not having airbags. HE got ripped bigtime. He is in a brand new 350z.

More importantly... why would anyone want an *old* M3 in the first place??

I would have thought the A pillars would have held up better than that in the "Ultimate Driving Machine"...

A e30 m3 has something about it none of the other ones have.

Cant explain it either.

All that damage:crybaby: from 25mph?:cookoo: Sh_t why not buy a CV. I think it would've held up better than that.

You beat me to it... Although I can't tell exactly which year it is, so I don't know which engine it has. If it's a later model then it has the updated 3.2 and probably a 6-speed manual, which means performance is at least respectable... if it's an older model, then it has the paltry 3.0L and I wouldn't be surprised if it had an auto as well - those were, well.. a bit less respectable, especially for an "ultimate driving machine."

Wow, that 25mph hit hurt that thing bad! Jeez, does BMW build their cars out of tinfoil to save on weight/increase performance? :cookoo:

A friend took his new E350 Ford truck on a woodcutting expedition with his family. While everyone else was cutting firewood his preschool son managed to get the left-running truck into gear and off down the hill into a field of stumps. The truck was totaled and the boy unhurt execpt for the seat of his pants. The moral of the story is that a stump is a formidable obstacle.

Er, notice the date is 2004-01-01? In all likelyhood the camera's been sitting for ages with no batteries and someone fired it up and never set the date. I used to work in the video field... I dont' want to tell you how many videos I'd see with the wrong date in the screen. That's usually what a date like that means... plus I seriously doubt it was taken nine seconds past midnight on New Years day.

yeah that 9 seconds after midnight (when the pic is clearly in the day) just means the guy w/ the camera doesnt know how to set the real date/time

Performance with the later models may be 'respectable' as you call it...but they also have the early versions of Double-Vanos, which is both problematic and expensive to fix. Not to mention, harder to tune. I wouldn't want a 3.2L variant unless its been rebuilt.
By the way...Canadians got the Euro-spec E36 M3 (3.0L 286 hp) in 1994, which Americans never did get.

No kidding! Here is my 03 CTS after an 80mph roll over. This happened a little over 2 years ago. I think I will stick with Caddy.
