Last summer i had my gas station fill up the refrigerant and it was wonderful. It cost me about $100 but it was worth every penny. Now the sign on the dash say's 'check air conditioner', and sure enough the air isn't cold. So i go back to make an appointment for another refill and tell him that there is obviously a leak somewhere and can he please take a look. He say's he'll take a look but can anyone tell me where i should tell him to look, i don't think he knows. Thank you in advance.

Instead of paying him, why dont you do it? Go to an automotive store, hell maybe even wal-mart, and buy a leak detection kit. You cant tell him where to look, the leak could be anywhere. But of course, you know that you have to look on the lines, hoses, caps, valves, and everything else that is connected with the A/C/Blower.
Those detection kits are inexpensive and work great! It consists of; black light, special goggles, refrigerant and some come with a gauge with all that. Its really, really easy.
If I were you, I would get a service manual, also inexpensive and will do you wonders. It will show you the A/C diagram, and that way you can already know where the whole thing is. Once again, you could get it at an automotive store.
I would also guess that if its a slow leak, it will be one of the connections or the valve(s) Because usually if the leak is in the aluminum line, the refrigerant will leak out really quickly.
Good luck!

The most common place for a refrigerant leak is at the compressor shaft seal. Look for excessive oil. A little is normal. Your mechanic should have an electronic sniffer to detect a leak, otherwise he will have to inject a dye to locate it. Also be sure that the caps are on the service ports. They are an integral part of sealing the system.
