Can anyone tell me were the fuel pump relay is on a 96 deville concours and if the fuel tank has i=to be dropped to get access to the fuel pump. I looked in the trunk and found no access plate to get to it. Is there one under the rear seat or drop the tank. THANKS!

I don't know about the Relay, but I believe the car has two fuel pumps, one outside, before, or behind the back wheel, and the second one, which almost never goes bad, inside of the tank, in-which you will have to drop the tank to get to it, but I'm sure its not the in-tank fuel pump.

The relay should be in one of the fuse blocks, possibly in the engine compartment, trunk or under the back seat if that is where your battery lives - I don't recall what year they moved the battery there. There is only one fuel pump, it is in the tank and you do have to drop the tank to get to it. The quick test is to open the gas cap and listen at the fuel filler neck while someone cycles the ignition key to 'On' (not start). You should here the fuel pump run for 1-3 seconds. No sound = fuel pump problem.
Chubby, I think the battery was moved under the rear seat on the Devilles in 2000.

Relay is under the hood on the driver's side fuse center. Battery still under hood in 96. Yes you do have to drop tank for pump. Change jumper harness also when doing pump.
