I have an 02 Deville...I have to replace the front passenger window regulator. The "stick-up guys" at the dealership want $610. I have someone who can do the work for me. My question is has anyone had any problems with the less expensive regulators that I have seen online that cost $40-$70 (without the motor). The motor is still working on mine. I saw one on Ebay for $180 with the motor. I am usally one who lives by the thought that you get what you pay for. Is this a great bargin or will I be replacing the part again in a few months?

I have heard great things about the $180 ebay guy, he even gives a $30 rebate if you send you old one back. I'm sure other members on here have used him. I personally will be using him next time my regulator breaks, i just had to replace mine at the stealership for $640 b/c of rain/no garage to park my car in. window was stuck 1/2 way down.
How much is your personal mechanic charging you if you bring your own part?
$100...He is a family friend so I get a pretty good deal.
I've used the eBay guy and mine has held up for over a year. Good Deal - compared to the Stealer. Also, I did the install myself. You could try it too. The front doors are easier to do than the rear ones. There are instructions in the forum and that is what I used to do mine. Save yourself a BENJAMIN - and take someone special out in the CADDY on your savings!

I created a how to on this using the "window motor world ebay store" parts. I've done this 5 times already - 3 on my car and twice on a family members DeVille. I actually let the dealer do it once but for that price you can see why I wrote a DIY Manual.
