I have been off board since April 7th - until today. I took seriously ill, was in the hospital and had surgery, too. I missed 8 pages herein ! I have been reading this since 9AM today - but now getting weak.
I wish to thank those who missed me and sent me an e-mail wondering why I quit the board. I didn't quit. Here I be. I can't send individual thanks to each of you, so let it be known that I did recieve & read them and they made me feel good. With a 63 pound weight loss, I suspect that will be great for my heart AND my leather seats !!

Later I will resume reading other topics, and figure out how the "H" to reset my password which I guess the board also figured I was gone, and deleted, subbing 7 numerical digits, that is lousey. It's good to be back.:bouncy:

nobody touched your account. if you forget your PW and ask for a PW reminder, the software automatically resets is and emails you the new one. not our doing.

Quantum, are you near me? Essex County ? Union County ?

Yup, right up near Greenwood Lake, which is Passaic Cty. :)

I didn't notice you had been gone until I saw the post on the Clean Vogues thread. Shows how observant I am.

63 pound loss is good. Try to keep it off. When my appentics exploded back in January I spent a week and a half in the hospital. I didn't eat or drink a single thing for 8 days. I went from 145 to 130 in one day and by the end I was down to 105. Keep in mind that I am 6'4", so 105 was a very dangerous weight for me. The day I got out I went to Portillos and ate one and a half pounds worth of burgers. Glad you are doing better.

Quantom, Greenwood Lake is far from me. I was there, just once - seemingly in another lifetime !

Dirt Cheap.... THAT is waaay too thin fr youer height. You need to hang out with me! I'll fatten 'ya up !
I LOVE to eat !!! I love to cook !!! I love to eat out !!! I am a very good cook. !!!
It's born into my genes, after all, I am Italian by Nationality AND Jewish by Religon !!!

Lasagna stuffed with blue cheese and a herb tomato sauce with Matzoh Ball soup and
a chilled glass of Merlot ring ya bells ?

Sandy,

Your in Essex CTY, right? I drive through there 2x a week! BTW, we got alot in common, and if you're cookin', I'd love to break bread (or matzoh, LOL) with ya' when you're up to it.

I can't gain weight, no matter how hard I try. Remember, over-active digestive system? I have twigs for arms. I ride my bike almost 25 miles a day but I still don't build up any muscle anywhere. Well, I'd rather be tall and lanky than another member of the obese children statistic.

Dirt Cheap, I am positive that you've spoken with several medical professionals, so I'll keep my big mouth shut. I was (for the first time, ever) happy that I was over weight for my 5 foot 9 height, as when I went onto the Chemo treatments, I lost 63 pounds ! Actually, as of late, more than that! (263 down to 197 = 66 pounds). NOTHING FITS! I live in swet pants & tee shirts, now. Any type of illness will cause weight loss.

I am eating very little right now, as I am all constipated from that Matzoh.
Like eating liquid concrete. Remember to lock your car's doors as you travel thru Essex County  What was the name of that hoppin' singles bar up in Greenwood Lake back in the 70s ? Ever hear 'bout it ?? :alchi::bouncy::thumbsup: Too bad you missed it! :helpless:

Sunday, early evening I can eat bread, again. I will celebrate with an Italian Twist brick oven bread, and cheese manicoti with garlic leaves & stewed tomato sauce, and some white wine ! It's so so so good to be back home ! Hospital food is made by Ken-L-Ration ! Seasoning aludes them. Most taste like dreck !!

Thank you, everyone :) I think I'm going to be okay, e-v-e-n-t-u-a-l-l-y ......

Numbers.....

At 250, you die. I entered the hospital at 197 and climbing.....
After just 3 treatments....... I was at 90.
After treatment # 4 I was at 60.....
Now, AT the conclusion of treatment # 6 I recorded a 40.

Perfection, and the lowest one can go, is # 05. (five). There is none lower.
The translation (roughly) would be a cancer cure of 80 percent, and a cancer
remain of 20 percent, with still 6 treatment sessions to go.....ending
Mid-July.......
Assuming I make it to 5, I will need to be tested every season (4 X @ year) for the 1st year
thereafter treatment.
Then, 2nd year 3 times, if all is okay, then 2 x during year 3.
After that & forever more 2 x a year.

PS/ Too bad I am not young & single. My primary nurse is sizzling ~HOT~ Think roman Candle Firework

Dear Sandy;

You are often in my thoughts;
I was afraid to email you because
I feared the worst.
I am so pleased about your recovery.
God Bless You My Friend!

The Worst? The WORST??? Na, I'm not in that arena any longer.
Not out of the woods, yet, but out of danger. I had visits from
a Priest and a Rabbi & I am covered. (The Priest was actually heading
to the room next to me & walked into my room in error) ~ but I snagged
him for a bit and he gave me a blessing. ((Can't hurt)) :)
The worst would be trading in my 60 Special & Town Car on a Camry !
THAT would be THE worst, yes? Yes !!
Is Winter over, by you, Tom ? ? ? We had 80 degrees, today in New Jersey.

A Camry would be the worst alright.

We went from winter to summer

I have alot of strength - am nowhere near "weak" ~ yesterday I washed & detailed my wife's Cherokee Limited 4X4 (XJ - the little Cherokee) and then my 2003 Town Car Limited. (In between I had a slice of pizza and a R/C Cola. Then I got tired.
This coming Wednesday I'll be back at the hospital for my bi-monthly 4 hour treatment, which BTW is NOT bad! No suffering nor pain nor discomfort.....UNTIL...... 36 hours AFTER I leave the hospital.....THEN..... then it's holly hell for 4, 5 or 6 days..... Can do nothing. dizzy, blurred vision, stomach ache, vomit, no food intake, only drink, and just sick sick sick. By day # 5 or 6 great improvement. By day # 6 night I am okay, and remain good for 8 days (the "now" period) ~ then it starts all over 'cause by then it's time for the next treatment (every 2 weeks). So, I have like 15 good days and 15 bad days @ month. I have no choice. The treatment(s) ARE working well. BTW, Chemo's 15 day a month effect makes ALL food, ALL FOOD, taste like spicy mustard !!
Doesn't care WHAT you are eating, jelly, pizza, rice crispies & milk, whatever.....tastes like spicy brown mustard.
I could not take it & asked my wife to go get me a piece of Strawberry Short Cake at the bakery. I could not eat it. The cake part tasted like cheese and the whipped butter creme iceing tasted like brown spicey spoiled mustard. Later I ate some carrot (raw) sticks and that tasted like peanuts.
Thankfully that only lasts 6 days. 2x @ month.
