So I know this may sound a bit asinine with all the other many posts about suspension, struts, etc., but I've been noticing that my ride quality has been, well, going to shit. On top of that, I have a 1995 Sedan Deville, which apparently are notorious for suspension issues.

While driving the other day, I noticed that my car picks up more and more bumps in the road from when I bought it 2 years ago. Not only that, it has turned into a "Rattle-lac", which I determined were worn control arm bushings and rusty sway bars. And so, with 104K miles on it right now (91K when I bought it), I decided that maybe I should update it a bit since it passed the 100K mark.

My plan is to replace the large majority of things associated with the suspension system (all the bushings, tie rod ends, sway bar, etc. and anything else I deem as "needs replacing") but I don't know if I really need new struts and shocks. I figure that since it is over 100K and it is a '95, I'll need to replace them soon anyways.

So now I'm in the market for new air shocks/struts (I'm not too keen on the passive ones) and I would ideally like to have OEM replacements, but I don't want to drop $2,000 on them alone. So any input on any air controlled (or fantastic passive) shocks/struts in the budget up to about $200 apiece would be appreciated as well as any other suggestions of suspension-related parts I should change while I'm down there. From the looks of things, I'm probably going for some Monroe ones, but I don't know which ones specifically in order to maintain the floating-on-a-cloud ride of a 'Lac.

I'm pretty much shooting for a brand-new Cadillac air ride, so input on other things I could do besides taking care of the aforementioned would also be great.

It looks like this is your first post here----Welcome to the best Cadillac owners forum on the planet!
ARNOTT INC.(advertised on this page--click the link) has replacements for your shocks/struts.So does SUNCORE INDUSTRIES---not sure if they still advertise here.
I recently had passives put on all 4 corners of my 1995 Sedan Deville from SUNCORE INDUSTRIES.My ride feels 99% the same with the passives compared to the original air ride---a bit firmer ride on the rears.Ride height is exactly the same.
I hope you find a solution that works for you.

I wouldn't bother replacing metal parts like sway bars until after you've replaced the bushings. The bushings alone will make a huge difference.

Alright thanks! I heard from another Cadillac user on another forum site that the passive Arcott air suspension is the same as the OEM, but a few thousand bucks cheaper, so that's the way I'm most likely going.

As for the bushings, I found aftermarket complete bushing kits for the front no problem, but it's mostly the rear ones giving me the rattling, and the only place so far I found replacements was at the dealer... Know anyone other sites that sell them? I tried eBay and Parts Train, but no luck.
