: New Owner with Wheel Question

I just picked up an 08 escalade sport and am considering putting on 24 inch wheels. I am also considering putting on the mcGaughys lowering kit, but had some questions. I live in Miami, so the roads are pretty good, but I do not want a horrendous ride. Are 24s with the 2/3" drop still a pretty good ride? Also what size tires and brand would you recommend to maintain ride quality? Lastly, do you need to upgrade the brakes with this wheel setup?
Apologize for so many questions.
Also the wheels I am thinking about getting are : wheelsperformancecom.stores.yahoo.net/caesssw.html

Thanks,
BK

Congrats on your new truck. :) I have been to Miami about 200 times, for real, you will have no problems with 24's and a drop kit. :)

Carl i read your post about about the wheel size vs ride quality and i was just going to ask you the same question except mine is ground force 1.5 front 2.5 back...i assume you'd say the same for me?

Marco, all depends on the roads and where you live and drive.

Yes, of course. The roads are quite good here so i would think it's not much of a concern?

What size tires can you fit on a 24 inch rim with the mcGaughys lowering kit?
