I took my catera to the shop and got a diagnostics done on it and they told me that the aux. pump was leaking, but when I was looking under the hood, I seen not just a pump next to the battery, but also one under the reservoir tank. They look damn indentical to each other. Does anyone know if there is in fact 2 of these aux. pumps or what? I am so confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, there are two aux water pumps on the 2000 Catera. I just replaced both of mine. I recommed replacing both because they are cheap...about $50 or so each from rockauto.com.
