| View Full Version : Wheels the Sandman 01-17-03, 08:38 AM :) peatea 01-17-03, 09:57 AM I have aftermarket Aluminum spoke type wheels. They look good on my car but my car is not a typical Eldorado. I would be cautious changing wheel sizes. It will change the overall gear ratios. Speedometer will not be accurate. Pat peatea 01-17-03, 09:58 AM Excuse my mistype....I mean gear ratios. Pat the Sandman 01-17-03, 10:03 AM :) peatea 01-17-03, 10:16 AM I see that now. Thanks. I need a lot of editing. Pat the Sandman 01-17-03, 11:11 AM :) peatea 01-17-03, 11:37 AM It will take you a lot of time to check every message. It is a nice gesture on your part but I think it would get overwhealming. Pat the Sandman 01-17-03, 11:51 AM :) peatea 01-17-03, 12:11 PM I made a mistake ONCE! I thought I was wrong but I was right. :) Pat BeelzeBob 01-17-03, 01:24 PM :D Haha! Hey! It's just the few that goes for the flashness that gets flamed. elwesso 03-01-03, 11:53 AM Bill, I like that v8 symbol you got. Too bad you had to get it from FO MO CO!! deville1 03-18-03, 02:05 PM Hey guys go to www.tirerack.com. On this site you can pull up your caddy (most models mid 80's and newer) and it will be a picture of your car with the factory wheels and you can select different custom wheels and see what they would look like on your car. The only draw back is their selection is somewhat repetitive after the first 4 styles, and I didn't see any style I really cared for. But it was a cool way to get a picture of my car, exact wheels and color. Ray89 03-24-03, 08:37 PM I have 1999 Eldorado chrome wheels with Goodyear Eagle tires on my 2000 Deville. Looks good and havent seen that combination on others yet. ckucia 03-26-03, 10:49 AM Has anyone tried the repro Cadillac wheels that AAA rims offers? They're on e-bay now and again. They look like stock STS/SLS 7-spoke (the rounded spokes with the holes for the lugnuts), but the repros are 17" instead of 16". They have them here http://www.aaarims.com/chrome.shtml on special for $800 for the set. Here's a pic http://www.aaarims.com/wheels/4539-17.JPG. They have a decent warranty on the chrome, although I don't expect them to hold up like GM rims, I would only run them in the summer, which should help keep them in good shape. I like these better than Cadillac's stock 17" wheels. RickTheRuler727 03-26-03, 11:25 PM Here is a link to my 94 ETC with 17" aftermarket wheels. Car rides a little stiffer, but other than that I have no problems, and the car handles great. http://www.cadillacforums.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=77 ckucia 03-27-03, 08:46 AM Rick, Those wheels look great! IMHO, 17" wheels are just the right size for modern FWD Cadillacs - just the right stance. What brand of wheels are they, if you don't mind me asking? RickTheRuler727 04-03-03, 01:38 AM RSV Racing, the rim shop had them in stock so I don't know who distributes them FlopShot 04-12-03, 07:32 PM I'm running 19" wheels with 255/40 tires on my 99 STS. http://caddyinfo.netgetgoing.com/cars/flopshot.htm DeVillish 04-12-03, 11:09 PM heres a pic of what might be my next caddy with some BBS wheels. Note:i used MS paint so thats why it doesnt look all that good, i lowered it too. Astronomer 04-13-03, 08:33 AM Beautiful! You have arrived! :burn: | |
