I did the TonyA mod today and I must say that I am impressed. Did not take that long except for drilling the 50 holes.... The sound is not as aggressive as I wanted but then again, it is not a full CAI.. I do like it though.... especially at WOT....

can you tell that its not stock?
the CTS has been returned to stock because it will be going back to the dealership shortly.. but for a few bucks, i'd give it a go... only question is, can you tell its not stock?

From just looking at the motor, there is nothing to suggest that anything was done. Your airbox sits so close the each wall and such that it looks stock... all they would notice would be a hole in the front of the box if they could see between the front where your headlight is and they box itself. On your own car, see if you can see the front area of the box, if not, they cant....

Not really.. I think that is the difference between this mod and running a full CAI. The one I had on my truck.. even with the slightest bit of acceleration, you knew it was different. This one, I think you have to get on it a little to to notice.. it is there at WOT though...
