:crying:

I was going to the mall with my family so I decided to warm up the car. The next thing I knew was the chime noise. "Bling" My air bag on my cluster showed up. I called onstar to get it diagnosed and it turned out to be a malfuntcion with the air bags. They told me if I was to get into an accident, that my air bags wouldn't deploy. But they would still be able to send help if I needed. *I sure want my air bags to deploy since my family is in the car with me!* It was just weird and odd. Out of the blue you know.

First off is this a common problem with the 03 cts's?
would it be expensive to fix it?
and why me!?!?!:hmm:

Thank you
Paul Nguyen

It's usually a wiring problem. Some of the circuitry is under the carpet. There are some previous threads on this so try some searches.

I started the car today and thought it would go away after ten blinks or so but nope.

wiring problem eh? So it could be anywhere then.

I'm gonna go search it up and see what I can find.

There are yellow connectors under the front seats. Unplug them and plug them back in. That should fix it, it does on my 03 anyway. It comes back every 6 months.

i would still have them checked out though. Peace of mine to know they will work when you need em. esp. if you haul family around a lot like i do..

The airbags do a self test everytime you start the car. If you don't get a warning message you're good to go.

I took your advice and did it on the passeneger side and same thing happen. After I did the driver side, I watched it blink about 7 times and it didnt show up. Nothing on DIC or cluster. Thanks Samd for your advice.:highfive:
