Hello all,

I just ordered my 2008 CTS, black on black, DI, nav, FE2, sunroof, pdq, y41, y42. It's a dealer model with 3k on it, and it's on its way to me now.
I live just north of Toronto, Ont, and the car is in New York. So I'll be driving a US car in Canada; I will be changing the speedometer to kilometers eventually.

For the time being I'm so excited, the car should be here in a couple of weeks tops.

Anyway add me to the 'Patiently Waiting List'!

Take care,

NVES

NVES: Congratulations; I hope you will be as happy with your CTS as I've been with mine; I took delivery on August 28, 2007; currently the car has over 6,000 miles. This is the best car I've ever owned; I've had 14 Cadillacs, so I can state that with assurance!
I also own a 1992 Cadillac Allanté, I've had this car since 1994; it is a 'gem'.

BTW.... the CTS (and my Allanté) has an easy way to convert from miles to kilometers (as well as temperature read-outs, etc.); you will have no trouble converting your car.

You will love it. Don't spoil it. Remember, "hand wash only". No automatic car wash.

Yes, especially with black! Hopefully the 3k of dealer miles hasn't resulted in paint that's too marred up from bad washes.

Sounds beautiful:cool2:

No need to convert the speedometer - if you toggle the Units in the DIC from English to Metric, it switches the Speedo. It's kind of annoying, actually - I'd rather have the speedo in KMs and everything else in English, but you can't do that.

I don't think the speedometer is truly analog - when you switch the units, it doesn't change the numbers on the display (it's 0-280 in MPH or KM/H).
