Hood River, Oregon PD. Been wanting to move there for a few years now...maybe I'll finally have a job waiting for me before I hit the road! The wife and I are flying up early tomorrow so I can show her around town, interviews at 1:45 and I get home late tomorrow night.

Haven't had time to mention it but I started working for DHS-TSA a couple of weeks ago, which is why I've not been on here much. My daily schedule is to get up at 3:30, arrive at work at 5am, work at the airport until 1:30, drive home, sleep two hours, go to work at the restaurant from 6:00pm until 11:45 or so, go home, shower, shave, sleep. I clocked 96 hours the first two weeks and 78 last week...

Wish me luck on the interview, eh...I'd freaking LOVE to move my ass to Oregon.

Oh yea, I just got confirmation that I'm interviewing with DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) on the 8th of next month for a special agent position. Dream Job... but first I hafta get my ass into good enough physical shape to be able to pull that one off...

As someone who's been in applying/interview craze for the past couple of months, when it's natural and the right fit, it just goes well.

Good luck, and with the trip alone, too:thumbsup:

Ahhhh...nothing like last minute chaos...

Lost the ID. Left it at the shooting range today and I leave in three hours. Makes it tough to board a plane, rent a car, and enter a LE interview.

Damnitt. :)

Could be worse. I was on a business trip in Rapid City, S. Dakota years ago. It was winter and we were staying at the Holidome. Another guest was there who had come from somewhere else to interview for a law enforcement position. He confessed that on the trip to SD he got pulled over and they found empty containers in his car. Gives you a warm fuzzy doesn't it? I never found out if he got the job - I hope not.

Hahaha...yea, I doubt he got that one.

The wife came along so she rented the car in her name and I just had to go through secondary screening at PDX.

Seems like everything went well...looking forward to hearing from them sometime soon!
