I was by my Caddy dealer today grrabbing an expresso (I work a block away). They were unloading cars from the carrier and there was a Hot Lava CTS. Still can't decide if it is the best or worst color I have ever seen.:cookoo:

I saw one too. It was fully loaded with the summer tire package. It looked really good under bright sunlight. That color with chrome wheels and accents was stunning. However, on cloudy days it looks like poop (literally).

Can't get the Hot Lava with Summer Tires.

Saw three of them unloading at the ports in Newark (GM's Ship/Receive Yard). They are striking.

I couldn't agree more. Every car that offers leather offers black or gray. Tan or brown is only offered on upper-echelon cars. A limited production Cadoo should have an exceptional interior.

Went back to the dealer to look at it more closely. You are right, black interior. Will post pictures tonight when I get home.

I think Hot Lava is a deceptive color name...they should have called it orange lilies :) I really wish it was a deeper orange that almost looked black at dark. But in full sunlight was very rich with tonnes of depth. This just doesnt have it...imo

patrick cadillac in schaumburg has one on the floor as well. i grabbed a curry at gaylord the other night and went across the street to see the car; it was on the showroom floor. fyi only.

That is f'ing hilarious.

Pretty dumb software. Under what conditions would it BE appropriate for the little man with the sign? Unless there is a proper answer to that question, I would think that admin should remove that one.

I was visiting my dad this weekend and stopped by the dealer -Jessup Cad in Cathederal City, CA (outside of Palm Springs, CA). They have two Hot Lava CTS' on the lot with the "hot lava package" noted on the window sticker.

The sales guy quickly approached me to let me know that he'd do a smokin hot deal on the Lava car. Apparently it has been sittin around the lot for quite a while and they want to move it. I told him no thanks, I'm going to order a '09 with FE3 in a couple of months because I wanted the paddle shifters (he was not sure what I was talking about...smiled and walked away). This same dealership has a nice selection of CTS' with some neat-o landau roofs, wire spoke wheels and gold grilles, so If anyone can move a Lava CTS it would be this place.


On the way home tonight I saw a Hot Lava colored Avelanche - never seen that before. It actually looks good on the truck.

I'm thinking of becoming bulmonic to lose weight. I think if you could do me a favor and post a picture of the CTS with a landau roof, it would be what I need to get the stomach erupting. :ack:

Yeah, that's another color, actually, and they offer a varation of metallic orange every year on the Avalanche--this year it being Suburst Orange II. Very close, though.

The Avalanche is one vehicle orange has really always been on the options list, aside from one or two model years, and the same for next year...though the new orange it is getting seems very red.

The CTS...sprayed a handful, and boom, done. No more. All probably because of the original '03 Copper Sunburst reaction.

Wow Tony, that one looks so much sweeter than the previous pics in this thread. Must be the real (=sun) light versus plain electric lights at dealership. Flows elegantly from yellow to darkish-reddish... Too bad I'm not in US, I'd buy this one in a heartbeat. You should make a hefty mark up on this one ;)

Hot Lava looks really good in your pics Tony! Loooked almost pastel orange in some of the other shots...
