Sorry this is third place im writing the same topic but I have serious problem.

There is no power in radio and cigar lighter. "Audio" fuse (21) under rear seat I've checked and it is OK.

If anyone has any idea....

Cheers

Check ALL fuses with a test light. key on, engine off. report back.Look for tin foil gum wrapper, dime etc in all lighter sockets as the cause.

First I checked error codes AMP U1255 - Class 2 Communication Malfunction (Serial Data Line Malfunction) is displayed.
What does it mean?

Second, I saw 8-pin plug not connected to anything near amplifier (in trunk), but there was no place to plug it... Anyone know what for this plug is?

Last - I read that there is additional 15A fuse located under steer wheel for radio. I dismount cover above brake pedal but couldnt find any fuse... Anyone knows where I can find it? I know Audio fuse in rear seat box.

I just bought this car, previous owner told me that radio was working...

Cheers

Pull each fuse, key on, car off, radio on. Sometimes removing and reinstalling a fuse will re boot the radio.

Easier to disconnect the battery cable for 30 sec., but take a test light to all fuses, some are controlled by others, rap circuits for example

Continuous power and the cigarette lighter are usually on the same fused circuit. Make sure the power is getting through the RADIO/CIG LTR fuse to the radio; even if all the other wiring is OK, without the continuous power the radio simply won't work.
An LED test light is also advisable; an "old-school" incandescent test light could draw too much power and cause more problems. A DVOM (digital volt-ohmmeter) is a lot safer too. Someone might have removed a component in the system, which would account for the fault code...

Thanks a lot for all answers. But finally problem was with radio itself. I bought another on ebay put to car and new one is alive. There was only need to recode in audio service (VIN changed). Im abroad today but tomorrow I will check if everything is OK.
And during dismounting radio, service man repaired cigaret lighter a cable was not connected to plug.
Cheers for All
