Can anyone tell me what type of exhaust this is?
I'm not too particularly fond of the look, but it sounds fantastic.

The dealership I bought it from didn't know.
The Caddy dealership I get warranty work done at says they've never seen it.
You guys are all I have left...

It's a Zoomers, the singlemost ghey aftermarket name on the face of this earth. I would never buy it just for that reason alone...

The tips don't look right for Zmrs. http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/vehicle_cadillac_cts_v.asp#

Take some photos of the exhaust under the car to see if the pipes have been swapped from the cats back or if this version is simply a one-off muffler swap.

Definitely not a Zoomers.

If you like the sound, I would just weld new tips on there, cuz those really are butt. They'd look at home on the back of a Carrera GT, but on the V? Not so much.

Not a Zoomers- their canisters are further back with long tips near the bumpers. Those look like a universal muffler adapted to fit.

Amen. The entire B&B system from headers all the way to the tips is too pretty to get dirty.

Too bad this particular work of art exhaust system is now gone from my possession. :(

They look different from behind though. Both systems are nice.

B&B flows the best, being a 3" system. It does have a bit of drone. At WOT it has a 'metalic' sound to my ear. Not bad, just different

Corsa, you get little to no drone, not as much flow, and the potential for rattly cans. Corsa has a nice 'bark' to it as well.

To my ear a tight, no leak/rattle Corsa hands down sound the best of any of the aftermarket systems I've heard (B&B, Corsa, Magnaflow)

Let's end this discussion about exhausts once and for all:

B&B is manly, testosterone-loaded, for those who appreciate the full roar of the LS6 (sorry guys with the newer 'truck motors'), for those who recognize that the enormous size of the tips are not compensating for something else (we wear boots daily for a reason), for those who never deal with drone as we never use 5th or 6th gear (saving 3MPG is not that important), for those who blast Zep 4 Side One Track Two at least three times a day.

Corsa, for those whose wives got to pick the aftermarket exhaust.
Magnaflow, ditto.
Zoomers, ditto.
All others, ditto.

JFWY, but some truth behind it.

Zoomers is actually a great company.
There exhaust is kind of contriversial but still a good concept and execution.

However, they are true car guys.
Jim, I bet if you met them you would get along great.

I took my car to them to get new cats installed in my new B&B exhaust.
They are one of the few shops who will do custom stainless work.
(Turns out I didn't need any custom parts, but they had 3" stainless and could have done it.)

Yes, they were all marveling at the beauty of the B&B.
They are just a great exhaust shop that happens to sell their own systems as well.

In the end they just do whatever exhaust work you want on your car and don't push their system at all.

If any one in SoCal needs custom stainless steel exhaust work (connector pipes or other exhaust mods), I highly recommend them.

Tru dat.

I have a Corsa and agree on that one. I actually called Corsa and asked why they did that with the inner 2.5" pipe, as it looks cheesy. They indicated that it was part of the sound tuning. They initially had the pipes shorter, but it flarned up the harmonics. No idea if I believe it but that's what they said. This was back in 2005.

The round can vs. the standard muffler look is a mater of taste. I personally like it, and think it's kinda unique looking from behind. Other don't care for it.

I love the Corsa 'bark'.

Just curious as to why its [Zoomers Exhaust] contriversial?

Some people don't like the "look" of the exhaust tips.
http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/images/products/canon%5B1%5D.jpg

However, they are designed, the way they are, to create a vacum venturi effect to improve exhaust flow.
http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/images/TipFinal.jpg
The tips also have resonators inside of them.

The exhaust system also includes a pair of center resonators
http://www.zoomersexhaust.com/images/exhaustFinal.jpg

and another pair of small resonators just before the tips.

As you can see, the design concept is very sound and the exhaust is very free flowing.

People who have it love the sound but nobody clasifies it as "quiet".

As with all the exhausts, none are "quiet" once you get headers (expecially w/o cats).

With stock manifolds and stock cats almost all the exhausts sound fairly civilized.

Tell that to all the drag racers of the 60's who all called their open headers on their dragsters ZOOMIES... As a company we chose the American muscle car market and build innovative and Patented mufflers, tips and exhaust designs, so we chose a name and logo to brand ourselves in that nostalgic muscle car era. Yea we’re different and I know you’ll never forget the name Zoomers…
