Any help you can provide me will appreciated! submariner409 04-18-08, 03:00 PM ewrench, change your profile to reflect your car, year, and mileage: it makes a difference in troubleshooting.
Can you pull the codes again and include whether they're C (Current) or H (History) ?? and the T codes don't look right.
At the top of the Northstar Performance and Technical forum is a sticky "Got Codes? Look Here". Read up on OBD I and OBD II codes. ewrench 04-18-08, 03:19 PM I have a 1995 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, 135K codes T077, T072,P047,1032, 1033, 1034 also1037
The Defrost will sometimes stay on until I turn off the engine. The codes are history codes. submariner409 04-18-08, 07:27 PM ewrench, Go back through your code pull sequence and clear all the codes in the different modules. If all are (H)istory, then the car has completed at least 3 successful start/run cycles without setting the same code. Drive for a few weeks and look at codes again.
Does your car drive, shift, brake, idle, corner, "run" normally ?? If so, you may have seen codes left by some of the all-too-common electrical gremlins that inhabit Cadillacs.
Don't get paranoid just yet.........
(What "defrost" ? Electric window or climate control system ? The climate control system will stay as set until you allow it to default to a previously set "preference".) ewrench 04-19-08, 02:04 AM I am aparently not communicating the problem I am having to
you clearly. I can turn on the A/C and only one of the
cooling fans will come on. sometimes when I start the car
the defrost will be on and I can't turn off defrost. None of the
functions on the climate control panel will work. When the
climate control comes back on line. The functions have a
delayed response. Still only one fan is operational.
The fan is ok. I have codes P047, 1032, 1033,
1034, 1037, T077 and T072 (help) submariner409 04-19-08, 11:01 AM OK,.........only one fan in slow is normal for a setting which calls for the AC compressor to run. If the engine gets to 224, both fans are on, and at 236 they go to high speed.
Did some checking last night and none of my '02 DTC's fit your '95 numbers. You'll either have to search the stickys at the top of the forum for your year code group or hope another '95 owner with a FSM comes aboard. | |
