Like the title says i picked up my 08 CTS on Saturday and i have a couple of questions. To start of this is a fully loaded with navigation car. I'm trying to pair my LG EnV to the cars bluetooth system and its not working. I've followed the instructions in the owners manual a hundred times. I say "Hands Free" it responds "Onstar Ready" instead of "Ready". Then i say "Bluetooth" it says "Onstar Call Was Ended". If there is anyone that knows how to do this please help me.

I have another questions also. Is there any way to bypass the DVD Navigation lock on video while in movement besides buying the 300$ lockpic box. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yeah it has bluetooth. It was on the window sticker and it says bluetooth capable in the manual and and the dealership told me it does according to the VIN.

I wasn't aware that any cars have been built with bluetooth. The manuals started including instructions for it a while ago in preparation for the feature but the factory hasn't put the actual module in the cars yet.

Well i could be wrong, but the salesman would not stop talking about the Bluetooth feature and now it doesn't even work.

Does anyone eles car say the same thing when they try the procedure? I'm taking it to the dealership on Thursday and they are suppose to pare my phone to the car, but i just wanted to do it.

I have bluetooth in my manual also but it is not installed. It has been in the manuals for a while but not actually in the car.

Isn't that the truth. I took delivery of my car right off the truck, about 3 weeks ago. I'd kiss him on the lips if I find out my car does have Bluetooth. I guess I could follow the procedure in the manual, but somehow, I don't want to set my self up for dissapointment.

After speaking with my dealership today. The car is equiped with bluetooth, but there is an error in the software between Onstar and the Bluetooth application. I'm taking it back on Friday and they are going to run some tests on it. Hopefully we'll know something then.

If you have bluetooth in your CTS, you might be the very first person to have it :). What was the build date of your CTS? I really hope you have it, there might be a chance for the one I ordered.

What did it say on the sticker? They were supposed to start building BT equipped CTSs last week, but it was postponed a few weeks. That is the word from my dealer and others on here.

If they didn't start including Bluetooth until 4/7, and Crazy picked up his car on 4/12, how could it possibly have Bluetooth?

At this point he doesn't have bluetooth. He has a dealer who says that he has bluetooth. I think it is easier to get a dealer who is wrong than it is to get bluetooth.

Can you scan the window sticker and post it here. If you have bluetooth, you are seriously the first person on this board to get a CTS with it from the factory. I am not doubting you, I am hoping one I had built last week will come with it as well. My dealer does not think it is coming with BT, but was not sure.

If it says it on the actual window sticker then that would be awsome, i think that obligates GM, i dont think they woudl put that on there unless it was a reality. I third the motion we are all pulling for him! I flew to Detroit from Virginia just to see the new CTS when it was introduced. The first thing I asked the factory reps was about bluetooth. They went back totheir boss twidce,liek I was the first one to ask the queation, I got the answer something like "not for the first few months, only the exports wil get it, then towards end of the year it wil be available". I told them they really are missing the boat if they don't put it in the car soonest.

My car was just delivered to the dealer four weeks ago tomorrow. I just looked and it does not say anything about bluetooth on the window sticker. And it's a fully loaded car. So, if his does say it, that is very interesting!

Take a picture with your camera on Macro mode (the little picture of the flower) That will work perfectly.

Yeah they got hooked up, after they updated the software on it. I think mine may have been the first with it. It had the equipment, but it was conflicting with Onstar. They updated the onstar software and it worked fine.

Yeah you better show a picture of the window sticker. No one is going to believe you until you have proof. Don't say "Why would I lie?" This is the internet, you can lie about anything and everything.

Any dealers (Cadillac Tony) on here have any new CTS' that came in with Bluetooth?

Could it be that April 21 will be the cut-off date for ordering an '08? Therefore, '09s will have Bluetooth and '08s won't have it.

Cars built before April 21st don't have Bluetooth. The original SOP for OnStar 8.0 was April 7th- it was subsequently changed to "Week of April 28th, but a new bulletin says SOP is now April 21st. Here's a screenshot of the Dealer Hot Sheet we received.

I'd be real interested to see a window sticker that says Bluetooth on it or a video of it working because it supposedly has not been put in a single production car yet, nor should any software upgrade be necessary to access it.

Thanks for taking the time to post that Tony, it always helps to see it in print! We will just wait and see if the guy can support his claim, but I'm not holding my breath anymore. And I'm going to "thank" my dealer for the completely wrong info and false hope. Imagine how easy it would be if management just simply printed that bulliten and passed it out to the salemen at a morning or weekly meeting and they put it in a folder with all the other ones to refer to when a customer has a question, so everybody, literally, will be on the same page.

I would check into it more if you are thinking about purchasing one soon. My dad picks up his drive and buy CTS on May 2nd. The CTS was built and delivered to GM the week of April 7 and according to Company Vehicles, the CTS has Bluetooth.
