Hey all,
I'm trying to track down the EBCM in a 96 Eldo ETC.
Chiltons says it's in the trunk.
Most of the modules in this car are behind the rear seat.
I hoping to avoid taking out the seat if I can.
Any words would be helpful

I don't think I have ever heard of a EBCM, you might be refering to a BCM which is located on the rear seat back, or the EBTCM which is located on the front lower drivers side frame rail near the front. To remove the modules from the rear seat, just remove the beauty cover and all should be revealed, not withstanding that, it can be kind of cramped to twist yourself in there, some other methods are to remove the rear seat back and access them from there.

thanks Caddy,
Problem: the Traction Control and ABS lights come on intermittenly. I replace the left front (drivers) hub and speed sensor TC0027. the problem still comes and goes. I've tested the cables from harness connectors to hubs, alls well. I've tested the connectors at the harness for voltage. I get 4.75 volts on the passengers side, but nothing on the Drivers side. I'm trying to track back to the BCM with an audible toner, but no luck.
I've removed the rear seat and have found the bank of moduals. I now having troubles tracing the color codes. I have not foung them...maybe at EBTCM?
That's where we are.

The EBTCM is located on the front rail Drivers side down low, its a good bet that you will need to check some resistance values there, to do that you will need a scan tool that will give bi directional readings, also you will need the diagnostic flowchart to fix this. Check first the connections at the EBTCM, also, maybe run another ground wire to the grounding stud, check the easy stuff first. The EBTCM is very very expensive to replace and they do not readily interchange with other Caddies, getting one from a Wrecker could be a problem.

The early '92-94 cars had the Bosch EBTCM mounted dead center on the rear panel in the trunk. Nice dry location.
In '95. The EBTCM moved to the top of the ABS unit, as mentioned, mounted on the lower front corner of the engine cradle.
There are some bulletins about water damage (?)..go figure..
