I'm compiling survey responses in preparation for the May results, and want to know which if any repairs might be due to a recall. This is asked on the survey, but I want to double-check.
So, have any recalls been issued yet for the 2008 CTS? If so, what problem do they address, and what is the outcome?
(I searched this forum for recalls, didn't find any thread that focused on them.)

No recalls have been issued for the 2008 CTS. Ref NHTSA site.

Thanks.
I've searched, and haven't found any, either.
But one panel participant reported one for the differential. I've emailed him to check if he might have a first-gen CTS and not a 2008. The recall was to tighten a bolt in the diff. The dealer inspected the diff, and decided it needed to be replaced. I think there is such a recall for the first gen car.

That sounds like an isolated incident, not a recall.
I report. You decide.

There have been two for some cars.
One is for a possible loose bolt, the other is a software issue if you are in Korea or Taiwan.
Recalls are issued by specific production dates, not model years. Just because a recall has been issued for an '08 model year car doesn't mean they are ALL affected.
What is this "survey" you are filling out?
If one has been peformed on the car it should be indicated on your service history.

I conduct a survey on how often cars require a trip to the repair shop. But recalls do not count. When I posted this thread, I wanted to learn of any recalls, to make sure they weren't included in the analysis as regular repairs.

You posted this thread to make money without investing any.

If this is related to the other thread, I think I saw he had permission to gather some data.
Not sure if any boundaries are being crossed.
I didn't understand the question at first.
mkaresh posts here to draw internet traffic to his "vehicle reliability" website laced with advertisements while refusing to compensate CadillacOwners.com and the site owner for that traffic.
Unfortunately for him, the data he collects is flawed and cannot determine the reliability of anything.
