My driver side window will not go back up. I believe I've tracked the problem down to the window motor relay... but I can't find them in the Haynes manual (wiring diagram shows that they exist though...:bigroll:)
Any help would be appreciated. :bouncy:
A faulty relay is possible but unlikely. Try this, with car running hold the switch for the window in the up position, then with your other hand slap the door panel down low in the carpeted area. Many times the window motor binds up in the regulator. Hitting the trim panel will sometimes free it up. If it now works, next time the panel is off readjust the down stop a little higher so the glass doesnt go down as far. I assume you've pulled out the switch and pressed on the multi wire plug to the switch? Originally that plug had a blue twist on button that held the plug to the switch. report back.

Thanks carnut,
I'm not sure what happened, but it started working yesterday just out of the blue. I had taken the window motor out, cleaned it up, tested the wiring from the switch to the window motor plug in and it had power until I plugged the motor in. I had actually given up on it and was going to move the car out of the garage when I pressed the convertible top button (because that had worked in the past) and sure enough the motor started turning to let the window down. Tried the switch to put it back up and it didn't work. Closed (slammed) the door to drive out the garage... pressed the button one last time and PRESTO! It worked. So, I do believe that the slap technique would have worked and saved me a few headaches. :thepan:
Thanks again!
