I have an opportunity to purchase a one owner 1980 eldo with 116k miles. I was wondering if anyone has experience with an early fuel injection 368? It drove and handled well. No comparison to my 68 472, but decent power.

1980? that should be a fuel injected 350 Olds motor. 368 was 1981. When everything works, they are great but not that economical. Most of the fuel injection was used from 1976 thru 1980 on the Seville, Eldo and Seville so parts are out there but are getting more rare. Make sure you are able to start this car stone cold prior to purchase. The cold start system was the main problem with this early fuel injection. It should start right up and idle fairly fast for at least 3 min. then slowly go to normal idle.
