: sealant- case 1/2's

can anyone recommend a sealant to use between the case 1/2's that works? thank you

Loctite 518 is what is recommended.

Please look at this.
I would use the GM sealer. It is an epoxy type of sealer. It sets up in about 20 minutes now.

I have seepage on mine - the motor is out of the car getting HGs done. If I pass on this and live with the seepage does this leak ever go catastophic where I will need to pull the engine again? Or will it just remain a driveway spotter?

That depends on where it's leaking from. If it is leaking from the case halve seal, you will never have to worry about it if you don't mind the drips. If it is leaking from the oil manifold (1/4" plate above the oil pan), that contains pressurized oil - and it could potentially become more than a drip.
