View Full Version : Choosing rims for 08 EXT

04-09-08, 01:00 AM
This weekend I am going to get some new rims for my Escalade EXT. I really don't know what I want, probably Giovanna though. My EXT is black so I want either an all chrome rim or chrome with some black. Anyone with an 07-08 EXT please post pictures with custom rims on it, or any rims that you think would look good. Im probably going 26", the smallest 24".

There has been some owners with problems with their Giovanna wheels, maybe they will give you their feedback. :)

Carl or anyone how heavy are the stock 22's when compared to el cheapo cast 24's?

Stock 22's with stock tires weigh 82 lbs, never weighed just wheel only, of course the stock 22's are cast.

82 LBS!? Wow that seems quite heavy. So i wonder how much 'el cheapo' cast 24's and tires would weigh?

I will have to find out what wheels they are, but I two wax customers running 24's that weigh over 100 lbs each with tires, I thought they were kidding, but the tire shop I use balanced their tires and mine and they confirmed that to me. I know my 24's with wheels and tires weigh 78 lbs, I wanted them under the weigh of the stock 22's with tires. The 100 lbs will kill the front end parts and brakes pretty quick I would guess.

Carl , I put one of my wheels on a scale when i recently rotated them and I got scared .:hmm:

110 lbs, wow, that wins as the heaviest I have heard of so far.
