Hello Everyone,

I have noticed that the lights on the "Fuel, Trip" button on my 2002 Escalade Secondary Information center have went dead? How do I replace? What kind of costs and how much are associated with this? Thanks in advance!

I think there are LEDs behind each button, but I'm not positive. I doubt they are serviceable if they are there. You might need to look to replace the whole unit.

unfortuneatly it is not serviceable separately.. you'll need to buy a new DIC module.. your best shot is to find one on e-bay or out of a salvage yard.. I am not sure what they cost new or even if they are available but i'll be its several hundred bucks..

none of the newer radios, a/c control heads, clusters, etc are serviceable if the backlighting goes out.. you have to replace the whole thing -- pain in the ass!

Thanks guys.. what a bummer having to buy a whole new unit!? I have also noticed that my "volume, mute" buttons are out on the steering wheel, does that mean I need to get a new one to correct this!?!? Thats a hard one to process....

Just the switches are replaceable. I did it to mine.

Go to Circuit City and pickup mini lights. Solder them in. It takes a little time, but it's easy. I did my whole truck. Well everything that was burned out.
Steering wheels buttons, info center, window switches, heater controls. Didn't have to buy one replacement item (switch, button, whatever).
