I've had two so far and i know with the first one after a while the black bed cover was not so much black but took on a slight chalky color . Whats the best thing for protecting and enriching thi material . HCVONE has already suggested 303 protectant . But what have you other found luck with ? I was thinking maybe some z16 tire gloss on there , but again I'm not sure if that may speed the process . Ideas ? Also do any of you put dielectric grease on your seals for the bed cover ?

i use 303 on all my cars, my boat, and jetski... it doesn't leave the plastic sticky or too glossy. And holds on pretty well to the elements. I wolud suggest 303 protectant also.

303 is a vinyl protectant, I used this on my boat's vinyl, plastic and rubber.

I have never tried to clean the bed of an EXT, however there are 2 products for plastics that i have tried on various other cars and had very good success with.
The first one is Plexus. If you do a search on Autopia.org you will find that it is highly recommended. I have used it on interior plastic parts and its always worked well.
The second is the Meguire's Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish. Now its designed to be used on convertable plastic windows, but i have tried this on non clear plastic parts and its worked well as well.
I would try Plexus first, if that doesnt work, give the Meguire's a try.
the best product i have found is Stoner's Trim/Shine. i used it on the cladding on my avalanche before i got my EXT. it has uv protectors and kept cladding looking like new for 2 years-no greasy oily residue, just a nice black oem look. usually avaiable at walmart.
