Hello friends. I was wondering if GM's 100K mile powertrain warranty covers the leaking diffs. Also, what year did GM implement the 100K powertrain warranty? Im thinking about getting a 05 or 06 STS, and I just want to know if my diff is covered under the 100K mile powertrain warranty...
THANKS!

Well, i don't believe that the diff is covered under powertrain. Somebody can correct me if I am wrong. But, depending on what year STS you get, it may be part of the recall campaign that is having certain STSs in to have the seal replaced, whethere there was a leak or not. The diff is covered under the bumber to bumber 4 year/ 50K and if you get it certified than you will get that coverage for 6 years/100k. I just had mine replace under the warranty because of a whining noise.
