I WAS SURFING THE WEB AND CAME ACROSS THE HOTTEST STEERING WHEEL THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. I FOUND IT ON LAZERWERKS.COM. I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES WITH NO LUCK OF SPEAKING TO ANYONE. THE SAD PART IS THEY DON'T ALLOW YOU TO ORDER ONLINE. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANOTHER PLACE THAT I CAN GET THIS STEERING WHEEL? :hmm:

I don't know if that's even legal, since you're downgrading to no SRS.

I gotta admit, it's pretty bad ass if it's on a show car!

Definitely NOT legal to remove OR disable SRS.

But that is pretty awesome. :sneaky:

Well, in that case, too bad my '90 Brougham has no SIR. (Supplemental Inflatable Restraint)

What's the difference between SRS and SIR?

What's the difference between SRS and SIR?

Functionally Nothing. Brand name for "Air Bag". It used to be ACRS or "Air Cushion Restraint System". For the actual owner of the car it's perfectly legal for them to disable it. I think the confusion is that repair shops/dealers cannot do it (or at least could not at one point, I believe now you have to sign a waiver if you have the work done). No-one is forcing you to have an airbag. Some states might require them for inspections, though, so watch out for that.

Edit... oh yeah... that steering wheel is incredibly, incredibly ugly, gaudy, loud, and most likely uncomfortable as well.
