So as usual on Fridays, I decide to make the most of my day off, so I decided I'd go out and look at the smart cars for once and see what the hubbub is about. I know there's a Cadillac dealer out near the smart dealer that has a low mile '96 FWB for sale too, so I thought I might make a stop and look at that too, and there was a Schlotzky's over there too, and I'm not one to pass up Schlotzky's. Ever.

Anyways, pictures!

What are you thinking?? A wing, fart cannon and hood scoop does NOT make a Stratus cool, especially if it's white, and has no other modifications at all. LOL!

Size comparison. DaimlerBenz's biggest looking car ever and their smallest car ever.

He's half my friggin' length and a few inches taller! This picture was taken from my driver's seat http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/Chadillac8705/IMG_2047.jpg

Surprisingly roomy for two people. Even two fatties. (Jesda)

Here's where they shoehorn the engine into them. Under the storage area. 1.0L of three cylinder fury! And they're only rated at like 33/41 mpg. Not impressive.

Here's how the "hood" opens. Allowing access to the washer reservoir and coolant recovery tank.

Overall, I think it's a rather neat little car. Not the most economical small car (in the basic financial sense and the fuel sense), but it's got a personality so many econoboxes don't, whether or not it's a good personality. Many will find it irritating, yuppy and diminutive. It's a kitsch car...the type that'll be loved by hipsters, urban trendsetters, tree huggers and anyone who wants to be seen as cute, trendy or cool. Not something I could see myself in the driver's seat of, but I wouldn't mind being a passenger...as long as there was a beautiful woman behind the wheel. The interior space was more than adequate, especially if you're tall, due to the high dashboard and beltline, but the car overall is too small for me. The Mini Cooper is about as small as I'd ever go.

Oh, the Schlotzky's.

I had their new Bacon Beefy Smokecheesy. Honestly, the best sandwich I've had in a long time (I haven't had a Cuban since like January)...it just tastes perfect. Bacon...Angus...Cheddar Cheese... all on top of their perfect bread, with not a single veggie to get in the way. DROOOL! LOL

Oh, and I parked next to this W202 (late '90s vintage C Class) and had to take a picture of Bianca and her little sister.

I definitely need to go there again ASAP.

Then I went to the Cadillac dealer and drove around the lot, didn't find a parking spot and said to heck with the test drive of the Brougham. I didn't wanna mess around with any salespeople and I could probably drive Brian's '94 Brougham if I really wanted to.

The closest one is 14 miles from home. I'll gladly drive that a few times a month for sandwich goodness.

14 miles is nothing.

Nearest one is in fact the one near the ATL airport.... 78 miles away.

Would make for a fun lunch trip :)

Screw you guys.... the nearest one to me is 396 miles away in Washington, DC. :(
I wish someone would open a good fast food place around here but all we get it the big 3. Damn stupid New England. It's a trial to even find an Arby's.

What the hell do people eat?

I live in a fairly small town 30 miles from Louisville and 60 miles from Lexington. We have McDs, Wendys, BK, Hardees, Sonic, Arbys, Penn Station, Quiznos, Long Johns, A&W, Taco Bell, KFC, Lees Famous, Fazollis and some Im forgetting. Our only "sit down" chain is Chilis and I constantly bitch there is no where here to eat since I try to stay away from drive-thrus for most of my meals.
