Well what can I say, the Germans love their wood!
I saw this over on Benzworld and had to laugh. It's a "very individual" W124 E200 Estate.

So in addition to rust concerns, he has to worry about termites too?
Must be an eastern bloc immigrant.

Nothing like sporting wood I always say.

Might be better than an aluminum tube for heat!

Man that's ugly.

Am I the only one that likes it? I think its cool that he did something you don't see everyday, but at the same time he did not go overboard with it. I think it would look better if it wasn't lowered and didn't have the saucer hub caps. The engine bay is super sharp all cleaned up and having those wood accents. Doesn't do much for performance, but its certainly a head turner.

Now the real question. Is that wood or is that Pergo? :histeric:

I dunno, I kinda think he DID over do it. It looks pretty terrible to me. Maybe if he would have only done the top of the engine piece it would have been tolerable. It's his car though, not mine, so whatever.

The owner probably doesn't either. It has to be some of that self-inflicted, Van Gogh, starving artist, Freudian guilt punishment or something
