So on Friday I found a gorgeous '91 Brougham d'Elegance with the 5.7 liter, wire wheels, factory astro roof and cd player. 1 owner garage kept car with 100K miles.

I called David up and told him... he freaked. Come 8:00 am yesterday (Saturday), he calls me... next thing I know we are making the 225 mile trip to go get this Brougham!

Here is David's '95 Brougham in case you do not remember him:

They had another white 1990 d'Elegance with the 5.7 liter that I was going to buy.. but it had rust and I do not buy anything with rust, so I left empty handed.

.... David on the other hand walked away with this LOADED beauty:

I currently have his 1990 Brougham with the 5.7 liter parked at my house with for sale signs.

On another note, we rented a 2008 Nissan Maxima to go down to get this Brougham and it was horrible! Both of us had aching backs. It made 22.1 mpg in the 500 mile round trip!! So much for efficient V6 engines. I guess I am used to our M45.. but the Maxima felt like a slouch. I would have rather driven the Brougham back instead of the Maxima :cool2:

Take care,
Elias

Hah! Fun weekend. Visually alone, I like the dark blue (or is it black?) '91 much more than the medium blue one, so I hope it's exactly what he wanted!

And with his gold one...oy...the old wheels of yours I always wanted!

As for the Maxima side note, hmm, they are a bit large and not particularly heavy, but people react differently to the CVT. It's generally pretty quick, but nothing insane as far as gas mileage.

This weekend he is coming over to detail the d'Elegance. I will post pictures then, the car is truley a sight to see!

It is Dark Blue with blue leather. I would love to have one of these '90-92 Broughams but I prefer the LT1 for daily driving duty.

Could an LT1 go in one of the 90-92s?

It could, but it would be sad to take apart a L05 d'Elegance with every option. They are rare enough to find unmolested and still pure
