I just bought a 2001 LD8 with the heads off. I installed time serts and reassembled the motor and it's ready to plop into the next car I buy. My question is, am I limited to put this engine only in a car that originally had a LD8. Has anyone here put an LD8 in a car that had an L37 ? I know the cams are different, are there drivability problems of ses lights that is in store for me?? Does anyone have first had experience with this situation? If it has to be an LD8, can my 01 engine be installed in an older car if I change the crossover? Thank you for reading my long winded questions..!!:worship:

This will bolt into any 00 to 05 FWD Cadillac. You will not need to doo any mods to the PCM.

The engine can go into a 98 or 99 Seville, but you will need a 00 to 03 Seville as a doner car

The LD8 produces more power up to about 5000 RPM's
I have installed the cams from a LD8 into a L39 just for that reason.

This is a LD8 on a L37 PCM. This is a 1st gear pull. It doesn't look like it drops off above 5000.
